The Friends of the Woodland Community Library held their annual Summer Reading and Ice Cream Social on August 6, 2008. This year featured the Mad Science Lady. Ice Cream cups were handed out after the program. It was very well attended. Click here for more pictures.

Washington State First Gentleman Mike Gregoire made a brief but pleasant visit to the Woodland Community Library on Thursday, October 4, on his way back to Olympia from the auspicious ground-breaking for the new Community Library in Battle Ground. Click here for more info and pictures.

Abbie Anderson was selected for the Woodland Comunity Library librarian. She is married to Bill Anderson. Abbie was born and raised in Seattle. She is very happy and excited to take on her new job.Click here for more pictures,



Arty Party
The Woodland Community Library had an "Arty Party" April 10, 2007. Winners of the Bookmark Contest were announced. Fun time for all.

Washington Secretary of State, Sam Reed toured our area March 15, 2007. Sam is a great supporter of libraries. He is also promoting a bill in the legislature to create a Washington State Heritage Center. Sam was well received at the: Woodland Community Library, La Center Library and he visited with members of the Woodland Historical Museum Society. Click here for more pictures.

Book Discussion Group
It happens on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 10 am and is open to everyone. The public is invited to pick up the month's discussion title anytime while the library is open.
