2004 Woodland Winter Festival

Woodland Winterfest 2004 sponsored by the Woodland Moose Lodge was held on December 4, 2004 in Horseshoe Lake Park in Downtown Woodland. Well over 250 children and adults attended.
Justin Gordon was declared winner of the 2005 Woodland Planter's Days theme contest by the President of the Planter's Days Committee "JJ" Burke. "Keep the tradition alive in 2005" was the winning theme. Justin Gordon a volunteer fireman for the Woodland Fire Department was awarded $100.00 for his winning entry.
Miss Woodland 2004, Jamie Smith turned on the electricity to light up the Community Christmas tree.
Santa Claus arrived to the delight of everyone and was available for picture taking with the kids. All kinds of refreshments were served.
People lined up waiting their turn to sit on the bales of hay, while they rode in the covered hay wagon.
One mother commented, "What is really special about this is that it is free and everyone is invited. I bet next year will be even bigger."
